How to toggle from upper to lower case.

oK SO HOW MANY TIMES HAS THIS HAPPENED TO YOU?

yOU’VE TYPED A WHOLE PARAGRAPH BEFORE YOU REALISED THE cAPS lOCK WAS ON.

dON’T PULL YOUR HAIR OUT!

Remember IT is a non-contact sport so before you start hammering on the delete key, pulling your hair out, or screaming ‘Oh dear me’ (or words to that effect), try the following:

In Microsoft Word and Outlook, if you have accidently typed with the caps lock on there is a great little tool to ‘toggle the case’:

Highlight the offending text, select the ‘Change Case’ icon on the Home Tab, and choose the appropriate option from the drop down list. All sorted!

Note: Shift+F3 also allows you to toggle between 3 of the options

  • Uppercase, all caps (SECRETS OF SOFTWARE)
  • Lowercase (secrets of software)
  • Initial caps (Secrets Of Software)
