The Business of Education
When we're not busy showing others how to be IT savvy we love a worthwhile opportunity to practice what we preach and demonstrate IT in action.
Our mission - to support Schools, Colleges and Academies to build strong connections with local employers.
Using Microsoft Office for planning, scheduling, creating documents and a host of spreadsheets for data management, alongside free digital applications such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Eventbrite and email marketing tools a 'paper-free' project to host a business networking event on the school premises is planned, promoted and executed.
Representatives from a wide and varied range of sectors attend to support and help the school to connect students with career options available in their local area.
Attendees are invited to register as part of a lasting partnership with the school to support students in a variety of ways both in school and out in the workplace.
Working together in Partnership to develop the next generation of employees.
Working in partnership and engaging with local employers, other education and training providers, and their professional communities will improve the number, range and quality of options available for work experience, job shadowing, work placements, apprenticeships and employment opportunities.
An insight into the world of work can be a game changing experience for young people.
The events are only possible with the kind support and sponsorship of amazing local businesses.
We have worked with several educational establishments to organise business network meetings on their premises and develop closer relationships between educators and future employers.
These include:
Thirsk School & Sixth Form College
Northallerton College
Durham Johnston School
St Robert of Newminster Catholic School
Park View School
